$24.99Fleur & Co
Tillandsia Tectorum is one of our favourite air plants. Also known as fuzzy ball, this type is native to Ecuador and Peru where it grows on cliff outcroppings and rocky terrain. The plant has fuzzy trichomes and has overall whimsical appearance, making it a favourite among both air plant novices and enthusiasts. She is a great home decor and looks great in a hanging air planter or desktop planter. Plant Size Small: 2 - 3 inches, air plant stand not included. Light Bright indirect light for most of the day. If you don’t have natural sunlight coming in, office fluorescent lighting would do the job too. Just avoid direct sunlight since the plant can get burnt Water Because they have so many trichomes, they don’t need the weekly soaks that most air plants require. Instead, these fuzzy little guys like to be misted. Plant Specific Care The leaves of the air plant are covered with a layer of special water-absorbing cells. They can absorb moisture and nutrients from air or dust. Therefore, most species do not need soil and can be hung directly in the air as decoration on walls, furniture, cork, and stones. Air plants thrive in a well-ventilated environment with plenty of fresh air. However, avoid direct hot air. Pet-Friendly Plant Yes.
